Hike to Nosal – Short Trail near Kuźnice (Zakopane)
Near Kuźnice there is an interesting hiking trail that leads to the summit of Nosal (1206 m).
Although this is not one of the highest peaks in the Tatra Mountains, it offers beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and several great spots where you can stop and enjoy a picnic.
The hike itself is relatively short – just a little over 3 km – making it a great option for hikers who want to enjoy mountain scenery without a long and demanding climb.
The trail ends in Kuźnice, where several other popular hiking routes start. If you want to continue hiking, this trail can easily be combined with a visit to the cable car station leading to Kasprowy Wierch.

Hiking the Trail
The green trail leads to the summit of Nosal.
Right from the beginning the trail climbs steeply uphill, following a narrow mountain path and stone steps. The ascent is short but can feel quite demanding.
However, the effort is rewarded with beautiful views from the summit ridge.
After reaching the top, the trail continues along a scenic ridge before descending toward Kuźnice. This section is much easier and follows a wider mountain path.

- Conditions: In wet weather the rocks can become slippery, so extra caution is required.

- Water: Bring enough water for the hike. However, at the end of the trail in Kuźnice there are restaurants and places to refill water.
- Footwear: Good hiking shoes are recommended because even dry rocks can be slippery.
- Protection: Sunscreen is essential, especially on sunny days.

Compared with many other hikes in the Tatra Mountains near Zakopane, this trail is relatively easy. However, it still offers beautiful mountain scenery without requiring a long and exhausting climb.
